sun + packaging

thank goodness it was a beautiful weekend here. the sun was out all weekend and even today. it makes a big difference in the spirit of my husband!

yesterday I took two of our dogs to play ball. it had been a while. it was 30 out and warm enough to be outside for a while. they loved it!



I wish sophie could have gone but she runs away. I took her on a nice, long walk alone when we got back. it is so easy walking one dog. what a difference!

I was asked to write a little on a blog about packaging. I will post about it when it goes up but for now I thought I'd share a little about it.

packaging is very important to a small business, I believe. my first step, wrapping it in jute and using a cute hang tag. simplicity.


the next essential step for every order is a hand-written note. this makes the order even more personal. I know I love getting a hand-written note with any order I place online


I wrap all orders in tissue paper if they are not gift wrapped. it makes it look nice & neat inside the package.


my most important step is the outer packaging. I feel this brands tiny sprouts. the kraft envelope and a sticker with my web address. it is simple & attractive.


I know many businesses succeed without all these steps but I want my business to always be personal and true to what I believe is important.
