my sweet niece, emma claire, passed away far too soon. we all wish she were here with us. on monday I found out I have the same clotting disorder as my sister that resulted in emma's death. all I could think about was emma as I sat in the doctor's office. without emma, we would have never known my sister or I had this disorder and wouldn't have been able to be on medicine to help have a successful pregnancy.

thank you, emma, for saving our baby's life and other babies. I can't wait to see you in heaven, to hug you tight and to let you know how much I love you.

and my dream is to have a BIG yard for our dogs so they can run free. so big that we don't need a fence because they'd be too tired to run that far. I can't wait to see bry playing baseball with our kid (I think it's a boy).

kind people

I am so lucky to have kind people in my life. I feel as I am getting older and getting ready to become a mom, I really want positive and loving people in my life. I have met a lot of people online that I talk to over email and phone that I feel are really my friends. it is amazing that the internet can connect you to people who become your life long friends.

just a swingin

I really love a good nights sleep. I realize when our baby comes those are probably going to be less likely. I am good with that though. however, I have done a lot of research on the amby baby swing.


I have wanted one for several years because it just makes sense when the baby is a newborn.


the swing is in such high demand that you can't buy it on their website. yesterday I bid on one on ebay and won. I got it for almost half the cost of a new one. I can't wait for this to be by my bedside

have you ever wondered what you will be remembered for? I think about it all the time. I think it is a good way to make your life better. to do things with more passion, to love people more and to live your life like you are living for today.

yesterday as I was packaging the news came on. normally I don't like watching the news because it is depressing but this news clip made me so happy and want to be more like this man.

extended warranties

I have found these are a JOKE. not even four years ago we purchased our leather couch and loveseat when we bought our home in florida. I am so over leather and want a big comfy couch with a chaise. however, bry said we can live with it for a few more years. then I noticed the holes...



I remember exactly where we were standing in the store when the salesperson told us about the extended warranty. "they'll replace it for any reason. if you get a hole in the cushion or you can't get a scratch out and they can't fix it, they'll replace it." YEAH RIGHT.
we got our first hole in our couch and the place we bought it from did the right thing and sent someone out to repair it because the company the extended warranty is through would not.
again, we have a hole in our couch and now one in the loveseat and the spot that was repaired before has a new hole on top of the old one. I called the extended warranty place today and she asked how it happened and I told her, I guess just wear and tear. honestly, I just don't know. isn't that how holes happen?
she came back after me waiting 20 mintues and said, "sorry your claim was denied. you weren't specific enough. had you told us your accidentally punctured your couch with scissors, then we'd fix it."
seriously? I have to lie to get them to fix it?
