i am always wanting to try new recipes & eat fresh, homemade food. however, i never have the time to sit down and find recipes, then figure out what ingredients i have & which i need to buy.
last night when i was up nursing noah, i found this awesome idea on groupon--weekly meal plans sent to you by fresh20! what a great idea, huh?
and one of the best things is it is simple!! 20 ingredients is what you need for the week to make your family 5 homemade meals.
cole is one of the pickiest eaters. we have been making smoothies for a while now and added spinach to them so he gets at least one vegetable a day!
he also loves popsicles in this summer heat & for teething so we are going to try these fun popsicles this weekend! don't they look delicious?
•2½ cups santa cruz organic berry nectar (or choose another one of their flavors!)
•12 ripe strawberries-practice counting as you put the strawberries in!
•8 oz. vanilla greek yogurt
•8, 5-oz. Dixie cups
remove tops from strawberries. combine all ingredients in a blender and purée for 1 min.
divide mixture evenly among 8 dixie cups. place cups on a sheet pan and cover tightly with plastic wrap. poke a small hole in the center of the wrap over each cup. pass a long toothpick through the hole. place tray in freezer.
loosen pops from cups by quickly passing the outside of the cup under hot water.
