diaper covers

these diaper cover by olive jane are seriously cute.

I am really excited about cloth diapering. I think in the next few weeks we are going to have a diaper service demonstrate their services. I've read that cloth diapering can quickly end if you don't have a diaper service and I want to be sure that doesn't happen. especially after reading these facts:

-disposable diapers contain traces of the carcinogenic toxin Dioxin, a by-product of the bleaching of paper with chlorine

-the EPA Lists Dioxin as the most toxic of all cancer-linked chemicals

-dioxin is banned in most countries, but not in the u.s.

-disposables contain sodium polyacrylate, a type of super absorbent polymer (SAP)

-SAP is the material inside disposable diapers that absorbs urine and turns to gel

-SAP was banned from tampons due to links to toxic shock syndrome

-scrotal temperature is increased in boys wearing disposable diapers which some studies suggest may lead to fertility issues later in life

Hi Tracey! I completely understand where you are coming from! We've used all-in-one/one size cloth diapers on my 20 month old since she was a newborn, and have been extremely happy with our outcome! It is a lot of work with the laundry and stuffing inserts, but so worth it! We use the BumGenius, and I have also been trying the new one size Fuzzy Bunz. Any way you go, you are making a difference with less waste in the landfills and a better bum for your baby! Our main objective was not only for the earth, but also for our pocketbooks! The only way to go!! Hope you are feeling well!!

How can you dislike a stinky diaper when it's wrapped up all cute like that?

I agree about the cloth diapers! I use FuzziBunz and love them. I just did a review on my site (www.cribadventures.com) about cloth diapers as a few friends were asking questions about them. Hope you are feeling well during this exciting time!
