these will be the new style of pants offered. they have a bit of flair to them and are not so 1980's tapered. and even though I can't hand-dye chocolate, I am thinking of offering them anyway. who doesn't love chocolate?

a little visit to

CLEVELAND


bry told me a few years ago that he wanted to visit every ballpark in the united states. I thought this was a great idea because it forces us to travel (which I love) and makes him extra happy (which I love even more). this was our 4th stadium to visit


the city had really great buildings but not much to do. a lot of the restaurants and shops were out of business. it was pretty sad because it has great potential. we did visit one landmark:


it was the house from "The Christmas Story". it was neat to see. the area around it was sad though as it was all run down.

we enjoyed a few games even though the rays lost both


it was a great stadium. you could see really old buildings from our seats

it's all the same to me

a few years ago I ordered some things from elisalou.com
I soon became hooked on her blog. she always has great photography, her house is awesome and she has lots of dogs! a few weeks ago, her family adopted a baby girl.


ever since then I have revisited the adoption issue with bry. I have always wanted to adopt a child and since it hasn't been as easy as we'd hoped to have one, it has been on my mind A LOT lately. it is all the same to me whether the baby is from us or adopted. look at her face!

I will, won't I? is it greedy if I say I want two babies? twins? I always thought it would be so fun. and I already know I am crazy.

so I thought instead of being sad that we are not there yet, I will be happy for the moment when we ARE.

so I bought some bibs!

today

I woke up early this morning.

my final procedure for determining my fertility is here.

today.

I am nervous.
as soon as I got up I immediately took my antibiotic
and then I realized I forgot to EAT!

I walked the dogs and came back feeling nauseous.
I ate some prunes and dry cereal.

I felt sick.
I went upstairs & laid down for a few minutes & got ready for the day.
sporting my favorite white vneck, my new favorite jeans and the necklace bry bought me on our first valentine's day after being married.

I walked downstairs and I could feel it coming.
and then

I SMELLED EGGS

and threw up.



I hate cooked eggs.

pure happiness

today started off making me grouchy. 1. we are trying to refinance our house in florida but because of all the foreclosures in our area, our house value has depreciated so much that we are unable to refinance. obama set up a plan through your mortgage company allowing you to refinance your mortgage if you are current but unable because of the situation in your area. BUT because we are responsible home owners and found someone to rent our home (for less than half of what our mortgage is!) we do not qualify because they view it as an "investment property". seriously? 2. the place we were taking to board our dogs is closed on the day we leave. sigh...

I made myself some coffee and decided to cheer up. and THEN.....this hit my inbox:





now I am a giddy giddy gumdrop. isn't jenna the best?!

punky update

sophie, oh sophie. all of her blood work came back a-okay. we are SO happy. she has been back to her normal self and I haven't taken it for granted since.

find of the day

before we moved from florida, I had a felt playhouse made for elsa and brennan. I thought it would be so fun for them when they came over and when they left, I could put it away. then we got here and I couldn't find a card table for a reasonable price OR one to fit the cover. I didn't want to spend $65 for it! so I waited. checked thrift stores. waited. waited. then on sunday, bry was driving and noticed a card table on the side of the road. he picked it up for me. I cleaned it and hoped the cover would fit. IT DID! it was a PERFECT fit. how lucky is that? so we have this set up and waiting for elsa and brennan!

she's my punky

sophie wasn't feeling well last night and it was evident. you know immediately when she is not well because she is completely calm. this isn't normal with her.


I laid by her side with my head on her pillow and cried. I knew she was hurting and there was nothing I could do. she put her head next to me and I wrapped my hands around her dainty paws.


I regretted in that moment ever being mad at her for being crazy or barking too much or just not listening.


I couldn't imagine our life without her. I made her a bed of cloth diapers so she would be extra cozy and hoped in the morning she'd be feeling better. we went to the vet bright and early and they are running some tests. it could be diabetes, could be her kidneys not functioning properly or it could be nothing at all.

last friday bry spent a good part of the day assembling our table and chairs. I thought we'd start out the day with a homemade breakfast
